Supermarkets and home stores are useful for a quick bag of potting soil or a pot of herbs; a nursery is the better choice for advice and plants suited to your yard.

Buffalo is in New York, in the Northeast, where four distinct seasons shape local life: hot humid summers, snowy winters that can close businesses for a day, and a dense pattern of towns where walking, transit and street parking all matter. Getting around Buffalo is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across New York's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

Very comprehensive selection for such a small footprint. Reasonable prices on locally sourced items. Great bulk section. One of the only places I buy prepared food, as they do small-batches and use such good recipes. Nice patio to relax after shopping.

I love this little store. Usually come there for breakfast. Coffee is amazing. The hot sandwich selection is good. The baked goods are tasty. Love the people working there. The hot bar for lunch is hard to beat. Best of all, its a co-op.

Such a joy to shop here! I love how cozy it is, they have everything I need without having too much I don't. If you eat primarily whole or minimally processed foods, it's really quite affordable. Excellent quality produce, and I love all the local and sustainable options. And the staff is always so friendly and helpful!

This review is literally 10 or so minutes after leaving the store on 11/10/2025 @3:50-4:00pm. I live within walking distance of the Lexington Co-op on Elmwood Ave and only stop in when Iβm completely out of something I need asap The reason isnβt the prices, the limited selection, or even the cluttered layout β itβs the staff. From security to the cashiers, thereβs a consistent lack of basic customer service and friendliness. Iβm in my early 20s, so I donβt expect an overly enthusiastic greeting at the door like a boomer, but I do expect at least a simple response when I say good morning. Every time Iβve visited β alone or with my boyfriend β Iβm reminded why I avoid coming here. The cashiers rarely acknowledge greetings, even early in the morning when Iβm just grabbing a breakfast sandwich before work. (do you think i want to be here either?? itβs 7am lmao) On top of that, Iβve been followed around the store by security today included β TWICE β all the way to the register. I was in and out both times, so the effort to trail a paying customer like that is unnecessary and uncomfortable. Overall, I do not recommend this location. if youβre a clean eating, organic/nongmo person Whole F

Again please!!!! Your location is too small for distracted parents with kids running around with those carts bumping into people. Its a grocery store not Disney. ....... 8/29/2026 Please get rid of the children shopping carts. Today a lady had two grown children with a car each just running around getting in the way. A few weeks ago a man had his daughter running around with the cart too while adults are trying to do grocery shopping in an already quite narrow place. I've been a member for over 10 years. The staff is lovely, the pre packaged food is really great and my main reason to go. I love the hot bar. I feel they should sell t shirts that say I survived the parking lot! Ha! Not easy to park on busy days but we make the best of it. The panhandling can be a bit off putting at times but no one has ever made me feel unsafe.
